I'm guessing turn overdrive off, put the car in 2 and get it to rev higher and try to keep it in two until you max out in the power ban?

I'm not really sure, the real hard-core drivers, drive 5spd...

I know a friend friend that blew his tranny case because he went from D to 2 while racing. How stupid can one be... especially street racing. You can sort of shift on an automatic as many new cars have adaptive shifting. The more the throttle is open, the more RPM till it will shift. Example would be flooring until desired RPM than release it a little and it will shift.

Y get a 5spd when an auto tranny will always be more precise than a 5spd and therefore 2 cars with the same power to the wheels, one being an auto and one being a 5spd, the auto will most likely win.

no? a car that is auto shifts wherever the car makers make it shift, wheras a car that is standard (with the proper driver) can be used to maximum capabilities by being able to control the rpm's alot better (redlining, etc).

to further my point, i remember when i had an auto cavvy rental...the thing would shift at such low rpm's but the redline would be like 6000...so if it was stick i could take it to 6000 every gear.

sorry im whoring but i keep thinking of things...if the auto tranny was custom made then it would be a different story (the auto neon that does 10 seconds is my example here)

OoOo my speciality......yah i drive Automatic....lol for now....only for now......so pleez no BOoOoOo'z......lol but u can only really shift comming outta turns and stuff.....and going into them.....it works real well then.....but in regular straight rd driving....it'z retarded....really no point........like when i'm entering a corner and i'm going to fast.......i'll take it down to d3.....that'z when i'm going 80 or under into a turn......and the engine will help me brake as well............it works.......then u let it go all the way up to 80 again...and then shift back to d4.......it works.....but i don't do it all the time at all.......i've only done it like 5 times ......
