shifting
hey guys,
what rpm's do you usally shift at when ur just driving regularly? Also is it bad to shift my car 1995 Civic Si at redline (7200 rpm) once in awhile? I heard honda engines are made to be revved. Anyways, fill me in.

shift according to driving conditions
if you think you will have enough power in the next gear for what you are planning to do, shift, if you dont, then let it rev
for daily driving (i do a lot of highway driving) i shift at 2800-3500, depending on what i am doing.... sometimes if i let if rev quite a bit higher and just skip a gear once i get to my cruising speed.
it all depends on driving conditions and what you are planning to do

D series power top at 6200, so anything after it doesn't really mean anything. Having said that, daily driving, 3500 to 4000 are good range. For every fill up, I usually rev the engine at least once or twice.
