I dunno if this site has local meets or not, but I was considering an s2k.

I checked out http://www.s2ki.com/forums/

There isn't much in the classifieds, but there is one there. There's a section for toronto as well.

I wouldn't buy a 00, or an 01, because the rear window is plastic, and its hard to see out of. Obvisiouly I know you'd have the top down most of the time, but lots of owners hate the plastic window. They changed it to a glass window in the 02+.

There's nothing wrong with plastic windows if you take care of them. Miatas came with plastic windows for the first 8 model years and sold better than any other sports car ever produced.

No offense, but I don't think he can justify spending another 5-7k on a newer one just so he can get a glass window instead of a plastic one.

Yah I could live with the plastic window..I want a 00-01 and hopefully find one with the hard top. If not this summer then this winter for next summer I will pick one up. Looks like I might be getting one from the states that the only place I can find any good deals on S2K's.

I hope so..I've been planing for 1 for a lil while. I sold my accord and bought the civic that was my first step so that I could then keep the civic as a winter car. Then bought my house that was step 2 cuz I did'nt wanna spend alot on a car untill I have a house with a garage to store it. Now that I have both jus getting settled in the house and looking out for one. But even if I dont get one untill next summer thats normal for me cuz I usally take 6-12 months to find a car that I like.

the best site for s2k's is s2ki.com. There is a toronto section, and there are local meets once in awhile. Sometimes they happen outside the GTA as well. Good bunch of guys too...and as for getting an s2k..i reccomend it.

I can't say much for the rear plastic window, having never owned an ap1 00-02. but 03 is where its at, with the 9 k redline and what i feel is the best roadster for the money. however, if you want the more fined tuned, and updated features and 2.2 engine go with the ap2's.

Did the s2000's from the states get a red carpet interior or did Canada get it also? I seen a black one with a red inteior carpet and the guy told me that the car was shipped from the states.

I don't know about black ones, but white ones did come with red interior. I remember Classic Honda having one in the showroom they were desperate to sell, but nobody wanted it because of the interior colour.
