I was pondering a similar choice as you. In the end, I choose not to go with the Mini. I wasn't a big fan of the interior or the cost. Now it's between a new Civic or an RSX. Here is the thread.

LOL
thats not a fair comparison, every car in that area is driven by a chinese lady. thats like saying drive around scarboro and look at all the older honda accords there all driven by sri lankins

personally I'd go with the MCS... I've driven both, and by far the MCS is way more fun... depends what she's looking for... like there are reliability issues, practicallity, etc..... for me, it's about the fun... I was pretty close to getting one earlier on this year, but decided to hold out...

normally I would agree with you on how most of the older accords are driven by sri lankans but we arent in 1996 no more.
lol but your right they did role in them because they are reliable cars.

i guess warden to midland on steeles is to concentrated of an area. Oh what the hey.......Make it the entire of markham since the asian community is more populated there. I can gurantee you that most of the mini's are asian woman driven LOL.

its not making fun of them, its just a fact. And why does this bother you in any way? I wasnt making fun of em I am just saying if you wanna jump on the bandwagon go right ahead. I much rather see an asian girl in a rsx then a mini because most of the dolls and air fresheners have more room in the rsx

lol

get a mini

i dont know what planet you guys are from but in kitchener is see TONS of girls driving rsx's around.
go for the mini, ive heard alot of good things about the mini too and i mean, even if u leave it stock, they are still nice and if ur girl does decide to want to mod it, how often do you see a modded mini being driven around by a chick? ... screw the RSX. they are everywhere.
mini

I think depends how long you wanna keep it, if its just for a while (3-4 years) I would go Mini Cooper, awesome cars, very fun to drive, and practical,......but I think the RSX would be cheaper and less maintenance as it gets older...

The RSX interior is much nicer then the Mini. The Mini's interior isn't very well thought out in my opinion. All of the switches for the window/locks/etc are way down by the shifter, the cup holders are tiny, parts of the dash and doors are painted plastic and look cheap, the stereo is not that great and trunk space is non-existant. It is a fun little car to drive with lots of safety features. It was pretty quick in S form and it handled good too. BUT a full loaded Cooper S is around $35g's where the Type-S is only $32.

I agreed on the interior part. The switches are just weird. I barely use them. The only feature I play with is the roof.

RSX.,....u ask y, because u cant have reliability like every HONDA, so what Mini is BMW technology......its CRAP, do u see what goes on with BMW's....over priced POS...thats alll......id go with the RSX-S for the simple fact u get the best bang for the buck...

second fact is, ROOM, the room inside the rsx... the car being for a gurl......she should think about space.....y cuz of shopping, and non-sense....and the second reason is, i would want to have an accident in a mini...

@60KM/HR

do u want ur gf driving this now??

RSX is the wise choice even though is high on insurance compare to its other cars in its class. I heard Mini had problems and were not too reliable from sources. Even it is BMW manufactured, its not always good to go with unless it was just only for racing/track purposes. LOL.. Convince her to buy an Eclipse...oh yeah..hahahaha..

RSX's are pieces of ****. Get the mini, worth the money and is of much better build quality.

Its quality vs quantity. Everyone I know with a mini LOVES them, while the kids I know with RSX's are trading them in for other cars.

if the mechanic who services these cars is telling you return it after the lease or whatever is up you gotta know something is ****ed with this little buggers.

n1taboo
what are you showing me? the pic of the mini in a 60km/hr accident looks perfect and thats compared to the second pic which i can tell you is NOT a mini and looks like a full size pickup toyota tacoma to be exact
