Rims on stock height

Would you put rims on a stock height civic? No plans to lower it.. just for the sake of losing the steelies? stock honda rims of some sort..

thanks

lol no if they are 17s you will get a big gap and it wont look good. even 16s i think wont look that good my 2 cents.

Not if the correct tire size is used. If so, the wheels will remain the same overall diameter as the stock wheels and tires. The wheels and tires will just look bigger, but the "gap" will remain the same.

yea stock honda rims... no aftermarket stuff.. i dont think honda made any 4x100 17" OEM rims did they? but mostly 15"/14" at stock height on a 99-00 civic

lol the gap wont change if u have 14" rims or 18" rims as long as you keep the tire size close to stock size (which u should be doing lol)

with a skinny tire and big rim, the gap just becomes a lot more noticable

for a 99-00 civic

stock rims i would choose are the same year SIR rims, then my second choice would be the fat fives from the 04/05 si's

thatnks for the suggestions.... but im not doing this to close the gap.. i could care less for the gap .. as i have already done the modding thing.. just for soemthing different i gues.. without the lowering..

Harsh....you are right that the gap wont change regardless of the size but with a bigger rim....you have less rubber and more rim which makes the gap look more than what it really is.

I wont go beyond 16 (well..actually i have done that already) though.

as long as it's stock rims then why not, sir's are always sexy. but if it's an aftermarket rim on stock height then no.

I have 17s on my EK hatch w/o having the car lowered and it looks very good. Mind you that the gap between the wheels and the fender is at most 1 inch.

Not sure what year Civic you have, but if you have a 01-05 the gap at the rear wheels is pretty big and I'm not sure if the car would look good with rims.

yeah go with stock honda rims if you want, but i wouldn't put aftermarket rims on a car with no lowering... i can look like it's half done and usually it will draw more attention to the ugly gap...
