resin to replicate Buddy Club Type C shift ****

I want to get this shift ****, but Buddy Club dosen't make it anymore and its no-where to be found.

So now I want to do the next best thing, find out how i'd use a resin like the one in the pic, so cover a shift ****. It is heat resistant and therfore wouldn't be as cold in the winter as my DC Sports one. Plus its grippy material...anyone know where i'd get this and if it will stick to aluminum?

Basically I want a resin that is resistant to heat and does not get freezing like aluminum...but most importantly I want something with wicked grip too

Here is a pic of the BC Type C that is impossible to find

"This shift **** is made out of a heat resistent resin that effectively blocks all heat transmitted through the shift linkages and is best suited for endurance racing.
Limited Availability... "

I don't care if this thing was $120, i'd buy it...I love the look of this piece but i should be able to replicate if for like $30

I find that hard to believe, as all racing drivers wear gloves, I don't think they will feel the heat regardless.

You could use rocker guard, or that spray on rubberized truck bed lining(Rhinocoat or somthing). You can buy a can at CC for cheap.

that was my thought too Playboy..
rubberized paint would act as an insulator "to an extent" as well..
just heat up the can in warm water a bit to increase the pressure in the can and to get the paint to spray a little thinner than it normally would...having to do a couple of thin coats is better than having one big, thick, sloppy coat you might have to remove cuz it looks like shiat

another option would be a textured, somewhat metallic paint, but don't expect to get any insulating properties from it
