removing air conditioning motor from d series

removing air conditioning motor from d series

hey guys its not in the diy so i was wondering how i would go about doing it so yeah if you could help me out that would be great!

go to a shop and have the refrigerant reclaimed, that is the first step.

besides that it's just simple removal.

glove box has to come off and so does you bumper, they are both extremely easy to take off....shouldn't take you more than 30 mintues.

and don't forget to take off the pulley.

ok what do you mean getting reclaimed and also just to take the motor off that is bolted to the engine isnt just 2 screws holding it in?..it has been disconected for about a year now but never got around to taking the motor off

the "freon" that is in it is bad for the environment and should get removed (reclaimed) by a shop.

and I really can't think of what you mean for your other question....the only thing that was bolted to my engine was the pulley.

yeah bro wow i had a brain fart for a second there lol yes i know what you meen buy the pully lol..the pully is what i was talking about when i was say that it was screwd on the motor....the fan iam guessing with all the stuff like the pipeing and what not has the refregernt in it right?

that's right and if you don't have it removed and try to start taking things apart you will be in for quite a shock when you blow the charge

ok thanks alot by the way...so i should not take the pully off before doing that right? because the belt is already off the pully so the pully is just siting there useless

you should be able to take the pulley off....it's just the belt that ties the pulley in to the system....cut the belt and take it off
