register car from another province
hi,
i have a friend that has her car here in ontario from Saskatchewan. We will be getting the etest, and safety done. once this is done do i just bring it to the driving licensing office and register and get the plates? besides the plates what other charges/fess am i looking at?

You will need your NVIS from the dealership signed if it's leased or financed.. You'll also need your insurance papers from the other province.. If it is leased/financed you should contact the closest dealership.. when I brought my car from BC I got dicked around largely...Make sure you have everything before you go to the ministry, try calling them and double check that you have everything, the last thing you want to do is stand in those long as lines to be told you dont have the right paper work.

were you charged anything else?? This car was orginally purchased from Toronto, moved it to Sasktchewan for school now coming back.

you have to pay both gst and pst for the vehicle.
20 for the used vehicle package
and 10 for the ownership
20 for the new plates
and 75 or 150 for stickers depending on if u want 1 or two years assuming your vehicle can get a 2 year option based on the year of the vehicle.
