Recommendation on cars

Hey Folks,
Well, thinking about selling the old eg and getting something else.... but not sure what to get. My budget is around $10K to $15K, and I wanted to stick with 2-doors. Here are my choices so far:

'03 Tiburon
'03 Mustang
Last model of the Toyota Celica
Last model of the Honda Prelude

I did ponder about the new civics, but wanted to try something else (and didn't want to buy new). Any suggestions anyone? Was looking for power and looks... but has to be realiable for at least 3+ years.

Thanks for the help.

h22 prelude would be killer:D

The celicas are nice...very light....if you go for the celica...DO NOT get any model EXCEPT the GT-S!!! If it doesn't have the "S" on the badge...don't bother. (gt models only have 130hp....lame)

The GT-S has the 2zz-ge engine...180hp (can be easily modded to make that at the wheels)...

Either that or a lude...they are cool too.

So you're asking questions about potential new cars on a Civic board, but none of the cars you mentioned is actually a Civic.:shrugs:

The Mustang would be bad in the winter and not so great on gas.
The Tib and the Celica are both chicks cars.
Preludes are super nice though.

There is a Honda dealer here in Hamilton that has a very nice, low k Prelude with the OEM bodykit.

They also have a 2000 SiR for 12g's and it only has 80k's on it. The SiR would be my recommendation eventhough it wasnt on your list.

toyota celica GTS is not bad.

tiburons are cheap for what you're getting and would be pretty reliable IMO

out of those options... I think I'd go Prelude or Tiburon, whatever you find newer/less kms for the least amt of money.

I would try and find a Celica GT4 (awd & turbo). There's also the RC edition, but yeah GOOD luck trying to find a North American version.

If you want fast, dont get any of those junkers. Get a LS1 Fbody, or LT1 Fbody. Both are nice, but the LS1 is newer, and faster, and will smoke any of those cars on the list. Plus all you need to do is drop a little $$ and put heads and cam to make it a LS6 and it would be real nice. A little diff changing, and for not too much money you've got a serious car.

did you read what budget he has? how can u get either of these two vehicles in $10-15K and on top...he wants a coupe.

i'd vote for either the prelude or the celica....actually that budget is high for a prelude. you can get one in under $10K im sure.

find a solid condition lude (01) with the leather package.

imported_t_dot_SiR 27-Jan-2007 12:35 PM

i good mileage lude won't go under 10k, if you want something 99+ and have about 100-120k mileage, you're looking at about 14-15k, anything around 120-150k milage, you're looking at about 11-14k (depends on if it has the lip kit, leather, SH or not, 5spd or not) and if you want something around 150-200k mileage, yes you can find one between 8000-10000$ for sure. but if you look in trader, lots of ludes are auto (which auto tranny sux for honda)

when i got my lude, the book value still shows 10k$, i was shock... consider mine is only a 98 SH, no leather, 5spd, and no factory lip kit
