Hey guys got 2 things to ask

1) is it okay to paint rotors black or silver to get that new look or does that negatively affect braking due to heat

2) I'm going for my G soon and find it useless to hire an instructor seeing as how I've been driving on highways since my g2
iknow how to do all my parkings and know how to act fake ( stare at your rear view than stare at your side mirror karate chop your lever to turn left than go exorcist and turn your head all the way around than shift lanes )
but I don't know the highway specifics like at what point do I speed up from 60 to 100? Do I speed up or slow down when overtaking (probably slow) at what exact point do I go from 100 to w.e. The ramp is?

you can paint your drums and disks.. its fine..

but as soon as you step on the brakes its going to rub off the paint where the pads is..

its best off to paint them as soon as you get a new set before you put them on with rust paint so they look good for a while.

Always paint them before installing them. Yes paint the hub part, it will keep it from rusting.

^^ Stupid things take no time at all to rust and look like *** haha. As for getting on the highway, use as much as the lane as possible, but don't wait until the end to change lanes. Once you come around the ramp and are going straight, throw your indicator on and merge slowly. Are you using your car?

lol bengali you are always asking all this odd questions

however your post keep this forum alive ....

Like others said dont wait until the end to change lanes, however dont do it as soon as you enter the highway... I would personally wait until i hit at least 80 to merge....

I'm going to use my dads automatic but if he's busy than I'll probably end up using my 5 speed ( my poor clutch is gunna be burnt that day)

I don't understand why it's that bad to roll A LITTLE like using the ebrake on hills is irritating I used to do that when I was first learning how todrive 5 speed and Imo I think using ebrake is alot harder than rolling/creeping

AND I DONT CREEP AT 4000!!!!!

Jerk that's when I was learning lol

Thats a pic of a painted caliber?
He's asking about the rotors, which you should'nt paint. Just pony up and get a new set, there not that exspensive.

^^If you paint the rotors (not the contact surface) with high heat rust paint (when they are new) they will look better longer and resist rusting on the surfaces other than the contact surface.

The rotor in that pic does look like it was painted with black.

It was probaly a ceramic coated rotor made that way. I don't care what high temp paint you use, if its a day or a week its going to come off after braking.

Are you blind, look at the rotor, you can see the center hub is painted black.

You 'merge' with traffic. If the traffic is going 100, and you merge at 60, 80.. you are the cause of traffic jams for hours.

My bad!
The weed can make you miss sht once and a'while.lol.
Either way, thats the hub not the actuall "rotor", so painting the whole rotor is still pointless.

hmm about the painting...i painted rotors like that on a volvo. was good for a year..then got rid of the car and the paint still held up good. just have to make sure you sand the livin hell out of it, and then apply several thin layers of high heat paint. if you do it right, it will last atleast a year [on the volvo i painted it did]
edit: rotor=hub srr
