Mike, I like the track layout. I sincerely wish your dream could come true.

First, thank for your opinions.

Maybe I should have done more explaining earlier... Also, I can list a few tracks that already exsist and have no flow (in my opinion).

The pit is where I wanted it to be. It is not in the wrong place either. Have you seen tsukuba circuit? The only difference is pit entrance. Which brings me to another point I forgot to mention, Main flow direction. The direction of flow would be right to left on the main straight off the large curve. However, it is to be used in both directions, hence the "round-about" that seems to go nowhere in the center. You didn't follow all the routs. You obviuously wouldn't take a rout that would cross it's self (unless you were running time trials with one car at a time). I designed it to make use of multiple routes in both directions. Also, make the back straight, straight? It doesn't need to be. The front straight is the main straight. The shortest route includes a highspeed sweeper on the "back straight" (going from the straight (parallel to the front straight) after the first turn, turning up towards the large final turn.

This is also just a first draft. I will most likely be making changes to the layout. Especially if the land has some elevation changes. It all depends on the land. But this layout is somewhat what I had in mind.

Thanks again for all the suggestions/opinions.

It would be nice if this track can be ran in both clockwise and counter clockwise.

I dont see why it coulden't, other than the pit exit into a high speed corner when running counter clockwise?

As I already stated several time before...thats the idea. lol.

The pit lane will be extended with an alternate route running along the inside of the long corner just like on tsukuba circuit. That way, when running counter-clockwise, the cars will enter the track on the inside of the corner exit, and out of the way of other speeding cars.

The pin lane in the pic at the moment is 20ft wide. I'll probably change it to be wider. And as I also said before, the front straight is 700ft long, so you can est the length of the pin lane.

Mike,

For work, we rented Mosport for a day and the cost was quite reasonable. I understand about wanting your own track and of course, we can all have dreams however, even if you had all that money, I would suggest just renting a track (Mosport, Shannonville, Dunnville, Calabogie, whatever), whenever you want to. I know they don't meet your expectation of Tsukuba like but it is still much cheaper than trying to build your own track. And with the money you save (millions!), you can buy a nice house, a few nice cars and drive them on a track whenver you like. Actually, with the money you save, you could afford to fly you and your car to Japan, rent out and drive on the actual Tsukuba track. It will still be much cheaper than making your own track...

Don't mean to burst your bubble but if there is no business reason to make a track, it just doesn't make sense.

Just my $0.02

^^Yeah I understand the complexity and huge costs that would be involved. But you have to start somewhere.

Maybe it would be for public/professional use down the road, but for starters it would be just a simple track. Just a paved road in a field so to speak.

As I said before, this is just an idea right now. I'm glad there are some believers here!

And hey, if it ever does happen...free lapping days for all TCC members!!! lol.
