questions ??? newold civic

which would be the better buy

a 1999 civic with approx. 230,000 kms
regular maintenance

3000$

a 1997 civic with approx 170000kms
regular maintenance

$4500

which would be the better buy

assume eveything else is the same

also how much does it cost to get a safety done? if everything on the car is fine, if u are buying 'as-is' how much is the certification? to register it?

thanks

mikey82 04-Jun-2007 08:17 PM

99 FTW! if it was regularly maintained the higher milage shouldnt be much of a problem.

Depends on the options, but 4500 is reasonable. I sold my 97 hatch pictured in my avatar for 6K, and it had 175K on it, but it had all the other options such as HIDs, 17'' rims, stereo, subs, muffler, body kit, etc.

Personally I would go for the car with lower kms.
