I was wondering if I buy something off ebay and the price is listed as $0.99 but shipping is listed $100, will I pay duty and taxes on $0.99 or $100.99 when I recieve the item at my door. Shipping company is UPS. Is there any other charges other than the taxes? how do they calculate these charges? fixed rate or percentage of the item price? Any info is appreciated

You'll pay duty on the $0.99 (If they would even bother).

UPS will charge you a brokerage fee, only because they are gay.
How does UPS calculate the bulls.hit fee....I mean brokerage fee??...beats the hell out of me. I think they pull a number out of hat, and that's your extra fee.

Try and ship by USPS, it will save you on that gay UPS fee.

just for example, i bought 3000$ worth of truck parts from LMC trucks the duty fees where 160$ its really not that bad and some time you wont get hit for duty and taxes

i bought a portable ice fishing tent from there n the guy shipped it ups and for the tent it was like 230, and the brokerage fee was 101. i almost ****.
And they dont tell you until it gets to your door.
