Lightbulb putting in an engine

I'm considering buying a 94' Civic EX sedan, its got about 300k's on it. It burns oil, especially if it's driven hard, blue smoke will come out the exhaust.

I know soon it's going to need a new engine, I just want to replace it with the same stock engine, has anybody done this? Where did you get it done and how much did it cost, if I supplied the engine/transmission etc.. just looking for some quotes thx.

oh, and is 2000$ for a fully loaded EX with a decent body, some mods, 300k, a fair price? or should it be lower?

thx

yep if the body is in good condition... its a fair deal.. my friend got his for $2500 with rusts starting up in the rear quarter panel.. and no mods... engine was still fine tho.. if your blowing some smoke it must be the piston rings someone can give you a quote on howmuch a swap will be here or someone might offer to do it for you for a fair price ... goodluck..

it probably is the piston rings.... changing the engine would be fairly easy.... just unplug old motor.... plug in new motor... unlike doing a swap which requires much more

d15b7 can be had for pennies like $250 complete.

but yeh if you wana swap mine as well think long and hard what you want down the road. D series is fine if you dont plan to do much with the car and are happy now, or you could turbo it later on.
