My mom's car got pulled over 2 months ago and she has a 91 accord, with JDM 1 piece headlights, H22motor, eibach/koni lowering 1.5", clear licence plate cover, remus muffler tip on stock OEM HONDA muffler!! it was funny cus the tix she got was $110 for improper exhaust! how's a muffler tip illegal?! and it's my mom driving! she got pulled over after going to winners to pick up some art frame!! she never drives over speed limit anyway!!

btw, was the cop's initial C. L. my mom said he was young and basically he stopped her car, told her she had a improper muffler, than told her to open her hood, but the latch was broken and she couldn't open it! he also said the car was too low (2 inch gap)and the lights were illegal too orange corner lightbulbs, with piaa platnium DOT approved lights! than he told me mom that he'll be nice and give her only 1 ticket, than he told her to go home and tell her son (ME!) to change everythign back.... i haven't driven that car in 2 years!!! we filed a complaint about that pig, and i personally talked to him and even went to the police station and showed him everythign again unchanged that everything was stock OEM HONDA! than he defined the meaning of a "improper muffler" it is a exhaust system that's installed improperly, and like if there's a hole or a there's no cat or basically if it's falling apart! and hum.... how many of us have exhaust louder than harley davidsons?! aren't they streetlegal!

you'd think without TINITED windows they'd easily see the huge bars that make up the 4 point cage in my car .... the thing is clearly visiable and with all the stickers come on you can't tell me I don't stand out ?

well one it's now a 305 dollar fine for littering your not suppose to do that with your cigerette butts....

2) if they pull you over they can and most likely will do a check of your license and registration just to make sure everything is on the up and up, they will check so expect it ....

3) your lucky he walked away with an atitude like that most other cops (and I don't blame them) would be going over your car with a fine toothed comb.

Remember they know the law a hell of a lot beter then any of us ... you got stiffed with a littlering charge did you expect it? no but he nailed you for it ... probably because of your attitude that you showed the cops ... politeness and generally showing remorse will win the day 99% of the time ...

here's a story for you...

I have a license plate replacement that a board member got for it ... on the plate it says "I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying" with a checkered flag clearly indicating racing. I put this plate on (and take of the real plates) every event I go to for autocross. well one event I forgot to change the plates back. so I leave the event with a plate that states I'm not speeding I'm qualifying. Now it was an honest mistake and as I drove home eventually a officer of the law pulls me over. he asked where my real plates were. well thinking I had changed them I said they should be on the car. as far as I know .... he informed me I had a plate on the back that stated I was not speeding I was qualifying and clearly hinted at racing. at this point I didn't argue .. I placed my head on the steering wheel for a second and then looked up and told him I was at a solo 2 event where by time trials are conducted and that I take my plates off for those events and that I had my real plates that I had forgotten to put back on in my box... he allowed me to get out put the real plates back on, He did laugh about the whole thing and told me he's glad I was taking the racing to the track I got away with no ticket....

anyways the part I ussualy leave out is he still ran my plates and checked my ownership and insurance and license ... which I didn't mind him doing if I got all pissy about it I'd probably have some hety fines and not be able to afford insurance .... he was just doing his job and when he pulled me over I fully expected the ticket for my stupidity. show remorse right away not anger at the situation and your most liklely to get off on tickets like these...
