Thanks for the input people. I see the views are pretty much 50/50. I guess it all comes down to a toss of a coin. I'm going into Signal Auto today and I'll ask my buddy what he thinks. Thanks everyone for their input.

Why not get an EF project and do it instead of blowing money on an already fast bike.

Well, cause I've been down that road before. It had a b16 turbo and it blew up. lol. Crankshaft broke in two and one end smashed through my oil pan and the other through the block. My second piston ended up sideways in the cylinder....lol. And I couldn't get it anywhere near as much power as my EP now. Why would I down grade with something of less power?

In any case, I spoke to my buddy at Signal Auto. He said it, and I quote, "was a f$%^ing bad idea." Would be too fast for me to handle even at 4 psi. And you'd only really feel the boost at wide open throttle. What he is going to do instead is do a complete internal work on it. Port/polish, bore, stroke etc. And it should dyno at around 210 whp. And it would end up even cheaper then boosting it. His main point was that the power band would be gradual so it would be easiler to control and the reliability factor would still be maintained. So, I guess having one N/A vehicle won't be so bad right? So, I left the bike there and took his R34 home. Thanks for all the great advice people. It's much appreciated.

i dont think turbo lag would be an issue for a bike..

reasons for that, the bike is already responsive being so small and light... ading a turbo would probably pop u off the bike!! hahahaha

To answer your question, I work for Toshiba, Japan. Design department. I help put together the Toshiba Qosmio. I've got one and love it. It's almost like being able to build your very own computer from scratch...case and all. lol. So ya, I'm quite well off. The wife doesn't care as long as the family is taken care of and savings are made per month. The extra money is left to me to spend.

The R34 is only a loaner until the bike is done. Should be done by the end of next week if he can get all the parts in time. But, I think I'm going to return the car to him soon since I already have my EP that I can drive. I was just a ride home for that day. Plus, I don't feel really comfortable in that thing. Too big I guess.

because he who dies with the most toys wins!

it doesnt' say the most 'turbo' toys.

and EF is nostalgic isht. to own a nice old car is a great investment of time money and patience. it's way harder to own a mint old car than it is to own a new boosted one. that's why it's so cool.... it's a true test of passion.
