This event is about 3 weeks away, and I need to finalize the roster. If you are interested in showing for this event, please contact me. Remember, it is free to enter, and there will be trophies for best import, best hot rod, and best of show; also, it is for a good cause.

With our Bang the Beater event, we have a 98 Ford Windstar that will be trashed. Spectators will first be able to buy a panel on the car they get to spray paint, then later, you can pay $2 to take a whack at the car with a sledge hammer or axe. Also, there will be a 50/50 draw to guess how long it will take to blow the engine at wide open throttle with the coolant and oil drained from the engine! I know this has nothing to do with the car show part, but everyone is welcome to come to the event, regardless of show.

why not donate the car to charity?

Edit: I'm not trying to be a dick... but I've done a lot of charity work with people who would love a car, meals on wheels for example.

It's a new-ish car, but it needs WAY too much work to be safe in any way. Steering, brakes, tires, ignition, etc. It won't start first try, power windows are shot etc etc etc.

The whole idea of the car is to raise money for charity (the Princess Auto Foundation). You can spray paint a panel for $5, you can hit it with an axe or sledge hammer for $2, and you can enter the 50/50 draw and guess how long it will take the engine to blow at full throttle with the coolant and oil drained. Plus, the car will be scraped for cash afterwards. We expect to raise $600+.

Again as stated before, that weekend is filled with car shows that most of us are already committed to. Hopefully there will be some people that are on this board that are able to go.

Thanks

Definately not ours, we're clearly too busy with bigger, better events.

Chances are I'll be in Grand Bend for the CSCS event.

Here are some vids:

This is the 98 Windstar we drained the oil and coolant of, then blew the engine.
