Pricing for 2006/2007 Civic DX-G?
hey guys,
my aunt is looking to buy a new 2006/2007 civic dx-g but she has no idea on purchasing a car. this is her first time and she's really intimidated. i really don't want her taken advantage of at the dealers'.
- anyone know what the out the door pricing is (or cost price)?
- how much can it be purchased for?
- what deals have you all received?
any help is much appreciated.
merry x'mas!

Umm Dealers don't take advantage of the customer?
When I got my 06 Civic EX last Jan. The sales guy was nice enough to add in the $1K+ (longest warranty) onto the final bill of sale w/o telling me. It was a good thing I read the bill of sale fully before I signed anything.
BTW: This was at NewMarket Honda.
The best thing she can do is check out www.honda.ca for pricing and visit a few Honda dealerships just to get an idea. Also you might want to check the autotrader and see what used 06 models are out there.

ive asked the dealership to crunch some numbers for me and this was the 07 Civic LX auto tranny which comes with extra cruise control, heated mirrors, 16inch rims, painted side mirrors and door handles, and 4 wheel disc basically teh prettier one without the sunroof all came out to be 23 000 so a dx-g which is hte most basic model should be no more than 22000 or so oh and a standard is approx 1200bucks cheaper

You might get a better deal on an 06 if you can still find one. I believe Honda is offering some very cheap interest rates and a $500-$1000 gas card on some models.
I paid full price on both my EX Coupe and my Si, but I did get a few extra things thrown in for free. I don't think most dealers will really move on the price of a very popular car. If you don't buy it, the next person will.

Very true, the Civic is too much of a hot seller right now to really budge on the price. However, that doesn't mean that you might not be able to get extras like Hood Deflector, Winter Mats, etc
Work on the price first before trying to throw extras in. Go to more then one dealer and see if you can have dealers competing with each other.

$21.5K out the door? Maybe for a basic DX coupe model. ie. w/o A/C. A DX-G auto coupe on honda.ca w/o the extras is already $24,914.70 taxes in.
See my above post. Check out www.honda.ca and go to couple dealerships to check out pricing. It shouldn't take more than a few hrs at most. Also check out www.autotrader.ca and see who might have traded there 06 in for something else.
Ok I just checked out the autotrader for 06 models. The cheapest I found was $13k with 131,000KM on it. WTF!! The avg price of an 06 model is between $19k - $20k before tax.
Plus the repo depot might have something. I remember seeing a DX (HAHA) model there a few months ago.
