If I see a 92 hatchback with visible "street racing mods", I wouldnt call that an "unreasonable" search, would you?
Yes I do. Because I may have mods for the track but it may still be my street car. If I have the mods for the track, it does not mean I will street race. And if the car is street legal what is the problem? If a neighbour just calls and says I street race in my car and I lose it because he simply doesnt like me, I have a problem.

BTW, there are people who are like this that would do it. My neighbour (Don't want to get into this story) called the police and said my brother was driving his dirt bike around our streets racing. My brother had only started it, on his trailer because he was taking it to a course the next morning and wanted to make sure his repair worked. BTW, it was 8PM not late at all.

Cops showed up, saw the bike on a trailer, my brother explained and they left.

I wouldn't be surprised that he tried calling saying im racing around the streets.... Would it be fair that based on a lie I lose my car?

I think if you are get nailed for street racing, that they should seaz the car for 3 month, have your licence surspendd for 1 year, and you have to pay the inpont fee for your car setting there for 3 month.
