It's true, i swear sometimes people just buy cars cuz they suck up a lot of money so you can show how much money you're spending on the most useless waste ever..... IMO it's a huge waste, but i bet it'll be a hit with rich homemakers!

What a stupid concept...a Porsche SUV...it's a disgrace to the nameplate. That's like a Hummer sports car?? Or a Chrysler luxury sedan 
Perhaps Ducati and Aprillia should start making choppers

whats wrong with having a Porsche SUV, look @ BMW, they introduced the X5, and its one bad *** SUV aint it?

Seeing it from the front kind of resemble's a Mini on steriod's. And that is damn fugly! don't care how much hp would be inbarresed to be seen in it. Let's face if that's the final pic of it is ugly and if it was made by another company like say Hyndai of Kia everyone would be hating it. The only thing it has going for it is the power and the fact that it say's Porshce on it!

Only recently though... I don't think I could go through a relationship w/ one, but...I see the appeal.
As for what's wrong with a Porsche SUV, Porsche makes sports cars...it is pretty much the only mainstream car maker (other than Lamborghini and Ferrari) that used to make exclusively sports cars for one purpose...BMW made sedans and other cars too...so an SUV was a logical step for them because these are no longer off road vehicles, but a statement about the persons financial status in the urban jungle. So Porsche is owned by VW AG, which also happens to own Seat, Skoda, Audi, Porsche, Kharmann, and some others...so out of that lineup, it would have made sense to have Audi carry the luxury SUV marque, as well as introducing a lower level VW SUV based on the same platform but with the 3.0 V6, and the Audi one carrying the 4.2L engine, as well as perhaps the V8 that they tested in the Bora (USDM Jetta). I just think they would have captured more of the market this way, and it would have made more economic sense. I don't know if I'd want aluminium suspension bits on my 4X4.
