Your best bet is to call your dealer and ask. The thing is about a lease, its like a loan, you are locked in for your term. They can probably get you out of it, but it will cost you more to do so and get the Si than if you were just getting the Si with no prior commitments. Best thing to do is to see if someone can take over your lease and start fresh and go from there.

There are sure to be penalties if you want out of any lease. Go get the lease and read the fine print. Since you just got the DX, why not drive it for another year or so until you decide if you still want to stick with the Si. By then you might even want to upgrade from the Civic to an Accord or something. The choices are endless.

thats the beauty of a lease..you can switch cars...but at the end of lease...
ok..well maybe i should throw this out..
i know the new car sales manager at my local honda dealer..
instead of 280/month he gave it to my for 260/month w/ the same buyout amount..
now know this...do you think he can pull sum strings for me?
i just don't wanna bother him too much...
i also signed for that warranty package that said final sale...but then regret it, the business manager (the guy who sold me the package) wouldn't not budge on reversing the transaction..he kept saying it is final...
and so of course.i went down to the new car sales manager..and he reversed it for me....
i will probably email him later...i just don't want to be a pest...lol...
thanks for your replies...

Becuase you have only had the car for a few weeks, it might be possible. You can always get out of a lease early or trade in early. You just have to be prepared to cough up some $$$. Buyout - trade in = the $$$ you will have to pay.

Unless you plan on buying out the car after the lease is done, I recommend you leave as is because you know you have to return it back to stock when your lease is up. Not worth the hassle, money or time.

well right now..i'm just planning on rims, ungercar glow kit, and headlights, and subs/amp. all these are removable...
i can't really do anything else..as it is a lease..but then again..the buy out is only for 8000. so i might buy it out at the end the sell/keep. if you look at 03 civic now, they goin for about just abit over 10000?
sounds good?

Dude, I have a solution for you. I have an 08 Si Coupe that I got 2 months ago, I love the car but I am spending way too much money on rent/bills/insurance/car payment and I want to go back to school. Take over my lease I will pay all the transfer fees all you have to do is sign. Its 350 a month for 5 years, 1.5% lease rate and I got $1000 off MSRP, full 5 year warranty, your not going to get an Si for any cheaper than that really. PM me your number if your interested, im really set to do this.

My dealer was Sisley Honda. The lease rates went up to 2.9% so I dont think anyone can get an Si for less than $400 a month now, the prices on Honda Canada's site are misleading, doesnt take into account warranty and a few other things. Where are you located?
