The 240 is a nice car and really popular for a Sylvia conversion but I wouldn't do it. Now for a 300ZX twin turbo.....................

if you can afford 2 cars at once..then do it..but otherwise if your 240 is going to be your only car..I'd say no. Winter here is a bitch and this morning my friends boyfriend barely was able to leave home because of being RWD

I personally would love a 240 as well, but the RWD really scares me during winter Well drifting in it would be fun if you could get any traction to begin with

My bro came home the other night (first snowfall) with a smile on his face that a kid has on christmas morning. All he could talk about was how fun his '95 240 SX was in the snow. It's auto too. This is his 4th 240 SX. All of his other ones were the older bodystyle.

If you have $5000 to spare on top of purchase price, then yeah, buy it. If not, it's not worth it. Unless you can get the coupe, not the hatch. The coupes are more rare, and less weight. With the Silvia front, no one will ever know what you're driving. I suggest you go to a Nissan 240 board and see what they say about them. Don't worry about RWD, if you have good rubber then no big deal. I used to use a Crown Vic as a winter car, the damn thing was unstopable. Some days I had to drive through like a mound of ice and snow that the plows left in front of our street, and I never had more fun!!! What a TANK! Oh, but I wouldn't recommend that kind of behaviour in the 240.

Turbo, RWD ownz. However, I wouldn't want it for winter. I like driving FWD in the winter cause you can just drive and not think too much.

Get an old Benz for the winter. These things are literally tanks. I learned to drive on a 190E and as slow and borring as that car was, I could plow through anything. The 300E I used to steal from my dad was even better. Ever do 360's, fishtales's, donuts, etc. in a Benz? It's awsome hehe. That car really plowed through anything. I remember when Lastman called in the army cause of the snow and people weren't drivin cause it was so bad. That 300E was plowing up York Mills, and the hills near Horshoe, etc. without a problem. The best part, both cars were RWD. I remember my bro told me RWD is better in the winter cause if you loose control and your a decent driver you can regain it really easily. But if you loose control in a FWD you're kinda fucked. I personally think it's pretty easy to regain control of a RWD. Out of all 8 of his cars, only 2 were ever FWD: his CRX, and his Probe GT.
