Hey,

Not sure if I should waste this boards bandwidth with this,

but....

My buddy has a 2004 Chev Canyon with a fiberglass toneau cover. It has gas lifters on it and after you release the latch it rises by itself.

He is looking for a remote system to release the latch. I have done a search for him to no avail.

Anyone seen an off the shelf system for this??

just use something like what you'd use for door locks, but heavier duty..

I thought of something like that.

The existing lock uses a square pivot with two latch arms running to each side of the cover. A clockwise turn of 90 degs to the pivot would open the cover. I need an actuator to turn 90 degs.
