People who have dealt with Teknotik

just wanted to get some feedback. i am considering doing an engine swap in the near future. it may not happen for a few months but i just want to start researching. i have heard from a few people that teknotik is good that they have good engines and quality shops that do good work with installation. i also heard you get a warranty and they have great customer service. however their prices seem very high so i was wondering is it really worth it. apprently complete b16 swaps are just under 4000 while b18 vtec swaps are around 5000. this seems high as i know people have done b16 swaps for 2500 and b18 for under 4. are these guys really that good and why is it so much more expensive, are the engines almost brand new or something?

thank you for reading
cheers

maybe because they are legit...Ever wonder where half of these motors come from you see in classifieds? Not all are hot but you have to wonder, specially when you see GSR swaps selling for $2500 you know somethings not right.

When you say complete b16 swaps are 4g, are you referring to install or just motor/tranny?

cause if you look on the site b16 swap for engine/tranny is $2600

There prices are not high.. i got my motor from them.. its a complete motor swap.. wires cpu everything you need.. most that are under 4 grand like you say is just the bare motor.. and does not come with a warranty at all.. so.. you figure if u spend like you say abit mroe for somthign way better and have it warrantied.. ro buy urself somthing cheap.. that will save you allittle money .. but im sure ull have more problems if you go the cheap way..

teknotik is a good company they stand behind there product and is great.. people are awsome and awsome prices.. trust me ..

but its ur decieeion

finding a legit motor these days isn't a simple task.. especially at a cheap price. Eric and Nick provide legit JDM engines with warranty, that is why their prices are "high". IMO their prices are fair. Atleast if you go to Teknotic you know your engine wont **** on you in a few months.

Give them a call or check out their website. They also have feedback in the Feedback forum. If you do some research, you will find the average for good swaps without any issues, the prices are pretty much the same.

Opnions here will vary up and down as not everyone goes the same route for swaps.

In that, I don't think this post will get you any further than the feedback
