It's true though Mike is a retard for going back to him many times. He always walks away with a problem everytime he does. The name stands for itself.

Any time i do work on car, and i do that every day, i all ways check to make sure the parts are the same. That way if they are different, so get the right one. You just don't put it in. It is your mechanic's fault for not checking it. There's my .02

THANK YOU...

All aftermarket stuff isn't excatly perfect, it's your job as the installer to examine the piece before putting it in, you just can't assume it's fine.

And how do you figure your bearings are toast because it pops out of gear??
the parts are sold to you as you are supposed to check and ensure the parts are correct before installing

i don't really agree with that though.

mechanics should (i use that word in an ideal sense) check to make sure the parts would fit or would work in regards to what's being installed.

if the parts weren't the rite ones, or if they didn't fit properly, i feel the mechanic should warn the customer about that. if the customer insists on installing it, then yah, i would make sure the machinic writes down on the bill of sale that it's been said he was warned regarding the parts being wrong or off.

it would be nice if it was all up to the customer to make sure he's got the rite parts, but then again, you would hope that the mechanic is the professional and not the customer.

i do see what you're getting at though....

anyways, i hope you get your tranny sorted out OP.

thats what happens when you do work for really cheap and do it fast. Corners get cut, crappy parts get used.
I'm not bashing on anyone, just saying, just b/c work is cheap and fast, doesn't necessarily mean its good work.

at the end of the day.
if the mechanic had done the work the proper way by ordering the parts himself and installing it we wouldnt be talking about this.

you tried to save money by bringing the parts in yourself and you screwed yourself over.

and for the people saying oh the mechanic should check it blah blah blah sure dont know how a tranny oil seal looks like. You can visually match it up and they will look 100 percent alike but they still can be wrong. this happend to me before and i ended up replacing it with a honda one and that fixed the problem immediately. we did a visual check on the oem and aftermarket and 100 percent the same yet it was still wrong.
