Painting Rusted Steelies
 

I have put my winter tires on and my steelies are starting to rust. I want to paint them, is there any brand of black spary paint you can recommend I use? Should I prep the steelies before painting (other than washing the rims)?

Best is to sand-blast or use paint remover first.

To be cheap you can just use a scraper and remove the loose paint/rust etc...

Use a rust-inhibiting paint like tremclad (sp?).
