to paint or not to paint?
ok so i know a few of you saw my ef at wendsdays meet, im torn weather or not to paint my trim black to break up the colour a bit. and if i do...do i do it all the way around the car (side mouldings front and back bumpers) or only on the side mouldings....
any oppinions? |
why would you want to paint the trim black?? It looks so much better if the side trims are the same colour as the car...
I had black trim in my silver civic and i hated it , thats the reason i paint the whole car the same colour and it looks awesome The only thing i would suggest if you want to break the same colour is putting a carbon fiber hood, tint windows , black rims ... I dont even like when people put their front lips black , but i guess thats not too badd |
^ I back that up, looks cleaner
IMO it looks even cleaner shaved or moulded .. Even I hate my flat black trims, even though my car is fbp |
2 Attachment(s)
black trim
Attachment 28205 all same colour Attachment 28206 although back rims or cb hood would look even better ... Anyways thats the first thing i did when i painted my civic |
^ wow you're serious with silver, even tint?
OP it really depends what you prefer. Also depends on the car. Imo eks look better with painted trims but EF/EG look better with a black accent. Ill be getting my car painted and I'm leaving black trims. And the whole thing with black front lips, imo it flows on my car, since the side skirt...I guess?...is black and the bumper in the back all have black in the bottom. But this is again your personal choice. Best thing to do is take a pic of your car and photoshop black trims. See how it looks, if you like it, paint it. |
paint it all + 1million
|
In black it looks soooo much better...but to each their own
Plus the black front/rear lip and skirt all flows since its all around the car, same with the moldings and bumpers. http://image.superstreetonline.com/f...lammed-ef9.jpg http://honda-tech.com/picture.php?al...pictureid=4711 |

EXACTLY!
EF/EG you leave the trims black. That is more for EFs though, since it goes all the way around the car. |
