First off, just wanted to say nice to meet you all. Good to put some faces to names.
Though a successful meet by numbers for our area at least, it was marred but the unfortunate incident involving a very large poilce motorhome. I just want to say I completely understand where they are coming from, but what i don't understand is why they targeted our paticular cars considering there was way more vehicles not to mention people on the OTHER side of Timmies. Each to their own i guess. Every other car i saw tonight on the way home was a police car, good to see in a way, but I hate the feeling i'm being watched everywhere. To this minute I can hear the poilce chopper above my house, wouldn't doubt if a massive streetracing crack down was in effect. Well, enough of my babbling, looking forward to further events. Good to meet you all again. G'nite people.

wow 10 cars .......for oshawa thats great....For who ever wants to know, heres what went down.We had 10 cars meet at Zeller's plaza(simcoe south)stayed there for a bit then went for a drive to Timmies at Taunton and Harmony and parked there for awhile(for those who don't know the Timmies was ,untill last night, a very popular place for car people to meet on weekendnights(mid summer 50 cars?, all makes all models))At about 11:15 the police chopper started his usual NIGHTSUN flyby.... around 11:30 2 cop cars, 1 cop motorcycle, and the mobile command post motorhome pulled in to the lot. The motorhome pulled up right behind us and the cop came to talk to us..now I have to say that the cops where very polite to us and did not hassle any of our club.He informed us that the corp. that owned the plaza had sent a letter to the police asking them to put a stop to the cars hanging out there. The only negative thing that was said was that we had been "dubbed street racers".I informed him that we where all members of TCC and that we do not street race, and would it still be okay if we moved our group back down to Zellers. He told us that they didn't have a problem with that. But most people decided to head home.End of night. Darlene and I would also like to mention that not one single club member gave the cops any reason to look twice at us. very polite. way to go guys. I guess we over stayed our welcome LOL.Hopefully this does not discourage anyone else from comeing out on weekend nights.

Nice to see our hard earned tax money is going to a multitute of police tools. Not nice that they are wasting on harasment. Now I know that a few bad street racing apples have caused this mess, but come on. People sitting by their cars and sipping coffee is hardly classified a racing. And why us? There were different groups all around. I guess if you are 40 & older with a muscle car you are emune to the police. Shame on Oshawa's finest! In my 14 years of "CRUSEING" in Oshawa I have never experienced such exesive force to intimidate drivers. What is going on these days? What happened? Oh! If I want to race I will take it to the track but I will watch when I leave. I here they are just out side the gates waiting to follow anyone home. Sad days we live in. Are freedoms and privacies are been taken away daily. See ya next cruse.

Well Said Jeff! I totally agree, during the summer I ALWAYS see the american muscle cars burning out and fish tailing in the middle of the street but they don't get a second look from our "law enforcement officers" yet all I need to do is slap on a noisy muffler and I'm automatically a danger to everyone..
