Optimum Battery

I got a 99 civic hatch. With all the shizzat I got going on inside, I think I need a better battery. Mine is quite small. Can you get optimum batteries to fit 99 civics? Or would I have to do up a new tray and what not?

Thanks

Are you saying it should fit in the battery tray, ro will I have to relocate. Relocation isn't an option with the amount of rom I have in the trunk.

to fit a battery in the stock location you need an Optima Yellow Top 51R

otherwise, you need to relocate it to the trunk if you want the red top (which would be silly considering the yellow top is a better battery cuz its deep cycle, and the cost of relocating the cheaper red top would make it more expensive than the yellow top to begin with)

the stock EK battery location is between the pass side strut tower and the firewall, I don't see how a full size battery could possibly fit in there.

That should be enough. I need something to hold a better charge. I only have a 200W Rockford amp and 1000W MTX sub, but with my CARputer and door poopers, I don't think it holds a good charge all the time which doesn't allow my popper to fully pop the door.

Do you need a bigger alternator with these batteries?!

I've got a full sized yellow top in the stock location in my EG too... had to modify the tray a bit to make it fit!
