OPP civic???

This may be old news but I passed by an unmarked OPP CIVIC (Silver New SI I think) He had no markings but had someone pulled over on the 400 south.

I had heard they had some marked Civics for promo purposes but this was new to me to see this!

Wonder what Mods he had and if they were legal?

bbarbulo 11-Dec-2002 11:17 PM

HUH??? OPP Civic, I had no idea!! :shrugs: I guess they finally came to their senses, and said...if you can't beat them, join 'em :kickass: Let's rice out our cop cars with strobes, neons, sirens, shotguns....wait, shotguns. :call: sorry, wrong number...this is 9-1- ... 2. :D

sjwong 12-Dec-2002 01:24 AM

It's probably just for patrolling and general ticketing, like the beetles and sh!t like that...

...cause on the highway that thing is not gonna track anything down.

imported_nautica_t 12-Dec-2002 10:02 AM

hey you never know,
most cruisers aren't running stock in the first place.
but that's jokes though.

Leeta 12-Dec-2002 11:01 AM

:richslap: :tsk: It wasn't funny when I got caught racing a cop! He was in his private POS, and he was flying...I just didn't let him pass me, I wasn't really racing him. This was 4 years ago...took $2000 to make the problem go away. ouch...never again was I tempted to race anyone...man oh man, there is a cop on every god damn corner just as I'm doing something wrong. And to think it comes out of my taxes, those fat motherfuckers:fustrated   :(

:hide:  :hide:

dam dude, what was going to happen?

bbarbulo 12-Dec-2002 03:30 PM

Something like this...arraignment, trial, sentencing, suspension of license, $500 minimum fine, 6 points, insurance cancelling the policy (in which case my car loan would get called in, so my car would have been repoed), and then no driving till I'm 25 or so. Instead, I made it all go away at the arraignment, where I retained a lawyer, who happened to know the cop, made some charitable donations, paid a monster speeding ticket, plus legal fees, and it totalled $2K. Never again...

[1sL0CiviC] 12-Dec-2002 03:50 PM

ouch, atleast all is well now...

charitable donations huh? lol haha

bbarbulo 12-Dec-2002 03:56 PM

Yeah, the cop asked me to donate a sizeable sum to a registared charity...I forget which one I picked...something to do with cancer I think.

[1sL0CiviC] 12-Dec-2002 04:10 PM

for real?
or was it a Glazed Donuts Charity Center?

DAMN

with all these undercover cop cars around how do you know who's a cop and who isnt? sooner or later you're going to have car jackers driving around in their civics trying to pull you over so they can steal your car!

Sigh... what do they teach you? :joke:

Never ever ( eSpEcIaLlY if your a female ) pull over for an undercover cop until you are in a safe, well populated area but be sure to signal them that you are aware of them being. This also goes for marked cruisers, signal the cop you acknowledge him than goto some place safe. (Well if your on the streets you might as well stop since there will be at least 1car/second passing but if it is a night ^^)

It was on the 400. You are right though, I should have taken a pic! Please make your donations at www.buydablazeadigitalcamera.com
...or if you prefer I could start an account at POINTTS cause I drive the 400 at least twice a day! :D

Rice Burner 13-Dec-2002 02:28 AM

I don't think I would stop for an unmarked car, especially a Honda Civic! Would feel safe! Anybody can put strobes in there car, buy a red light from Radio Shack and get there hands on a badge on imitation badge. So I just wouldn't stop.

PRELUDEGIRL 13-Dec-2002 09:43 AM

i cant wait to see cop raising someone on his civic....i think it will be so hilarious

94turbolx 13-Dec-2002 02:59 PM
