Opinions On My Civic Problem: Please Reply Anyone

Hey guys hows it going, i want your OPINIONS or IDEAS on a problem i have with my civic 1999 4 dr sedan, everyting is STOCK.

THE PROBLEM:

While im dirving or at a stop light the car just SHUTS-OFF with no sound, i have narrowed it down to an electircal problem. The battery is new and working fine.

What happens before the car shuts off is that while driving the
KM needle will flicker up and down on its own. The problem was
happening once a week now its happening everyday and also
now its happening before i start my car.

It just shuts off simple, NO NOISE. One clue that has been happening lately is that my GAS needle has been going down on sharp turns even if the car has a FULL TANK, the needle will drop close to EMPTY and when I am back on a straight the needle will slowly rise again.

Also this could be my imagination but the problem happens more in WARM weather like TODAY, compared to COLDER days

I WILL APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS THANK YOU

first, check grounds..
then check all main fuses

then if they're all good, get your alternator checked

How about clean your ground wire where it connects to the body, etc.

Easy fix.

Stick a Honda Insight badge on it and the car will be working as designed.

I would expect a more mature answer from you, but I guess you can be just as ignorant as some other people on this board. Thanks for helping out.

If none of you have nothing to offer help for this poster, keep your negative comments to yourself.

Thank you

Gee, I guess I should have put a smiley at the end of the post.

And negative comment? Insights are neat little cars. It was hardly a slam.

Now, your comment on the other hand....

Funny coincidence... I came to the forum to post a message similar to yours ;-(

My wife drives a 2002 Civic lx and it also shuts off while driving. I remember this happening last year a couple of times then It hadn't happend in over 8 months. A few weeks ago it happened. Yesterday and Today it happened again. The last 2 times this occured she was turning the car. The car has fairly low mileage(around 50k) and other than this there is no concern.

btw, I am not sure about the fuel gauge behaviour on her car.

Any suggestions would be appreicated.

Thanks
