I have to get a oil change... its been 5,000km.. anyways and Ive been running my car a bit hard lately..
I'ma switch over to synthetic oil..
What type of oil and brand should I get for my 99 honda civic si (d16y8)
and what filter.
I'ma head over to canadian tire.. I don't know if I need 5w30 or what. and also how much oil do I need?

5w30, 4 liters, i use mobil 1 exclusively in the '98. i use castrol syntec exclusively in the dub. i use whatever is on sale in the '90 (but never store brand crap, only shell, quaker state, mobil, castrol, penzoil, etc).

Royal Purple 5w30 w/OEM filter

Some people say Fram isn't so great. Also some say that running 10w30 during the hot summer days is better. *shrugs*
