Alright heres the story.
I had gone to the mall to do an assignment for one of my marketing classes. I had finished my assignment and met up with jaysi and checked out the mall.
On a lighter note we got to check out the new Eclipse at the mall since the local dealership was promoting it. Looks real nice and me thinks it has potential. (Turbo jaysi?)LOL
Anyways I had just left and was about to come back to Cambridge.
I got in the car and reversed out of my parking spot. I was just about to put my car into 1st gear to turn left and leave the parking lane, which explains why my wheels were faced to the right. For those of you that don't know, CRX's don't have power steering.
Anyways like I said I was just about to leave the parking lot. Before I could put my car into 1st and leave this big @$$ Jeep Liberty completly mashes up my driver door.
My side mirror is destroyed (theres pieces of glass all inside my car) and there were pieces of the plastic all over the place.
Dude apologized and we exchanged insurance info. He seemed sincere. I'm not too pissed, just unsure whats gonna happen to my CRX. I'm paranoid I know...)
We went to the police station and had to fill out a paper report, and he admitted it was his fault(which it was!)
Anyways I dunno what to do... I just want a new door!
I hope that explains it... my back hurts...

Parking lot eh?
Insurance usually consider it as 50-50

See if you need to pay any deductable later.
If they ask you to pay, then they consider you at fault or partially at fault.

If not, you are not at fault.

I am just saying what I know
so Good Luck man

SilverCRXSi: First of all, sorry to see what happened to your Rex. It will be all good....look at the bright side...you get a new door!

V33K,
I thought (I could be wrong)...I supposed the Insurance company has changed their policy few years ago...you have to pay for the deductable regardless....in other word, whether you are at fault or not, you still have to pay for the deductable. Anyways, correct me if I wrong.

regards,
Mugen C

Personal experience
I was involved into few accidents for the last couple yrs
and one just happened recently.
And all of them I wasn't at fault, so I didn't even pay a cent, and my premium didn't go up and actually go lower and lower.

Thanks people.
Well ti update this, from what I understand from the insurance company its not my fault at all since I was completely out of my parking spot. What sucks is that I have to pay the other guys deductible since he's from BC and they do insurance stuff differently out there. But I do get it back. I won't know anything for sure until Monday though.
I did call Honda today and asked how much a door was and they said $450ish.

I'll keep ya updated on this as I find out more myself...

Now I just have to find a way to get to school on Monday...
