Unhappy No honda, Domestic or toyota for me!

I cant get a honda because my Uncle had an accord and it got smashed from behind and he couldnt repair it.

so my dad said he'll get a domestic (chevy cavalier front runner)

or i was thinking of getting an import, like toyota or volvo. something along those lines.

I was just wondering if any of you can give feedback on cavaliers or other cars. (not honda)

thanks

(i know some of you 'kids' are gonna say "g3t h0nd4 1ts th3 b3st" BUT PLEASE DONT!!!!! i cant get a honda)

I HIT MAJOR POSTER JUST NOW!!!! hurray!

what yr cany are u leaning towards, b/c newer domestics are about the same price as an older honda
but if u want reliability go with an import
toyota tercel? maybe or get a car like your brothers and make it EDM ( European domestic market)

if the accord got smashed, i dont think thats Hondas fault if he cant fix it. . is that why ur dad wants to stay away from Hondas?

whats the budget?

buyin brand new or used?

toyotas are good and very reliable. we had the early 90's and late 70's corolla and only had to do regular maintenance for it to run well.

check out the mazdas too. Protege and P5 or even the mazdaspeed protege. i've been looking into this car lately and havent seen anything majorly negative and been on one and was impressed on how it performed.

or check message boards like this but the manufacturer/car of your choice. thing is when ur on a certain board, their car is the best and all the rest is crap. not in all cases but in most or some.

in the end its ur decision.
i better go to sleep now.

The new Cavaliers are pieces of junk. I drove one around for a while and although the car moves reasonablly intelligently around the city.. it does A LOT of gear hunting if you have automatic. The interior of the car is very cheap looking too compared to other vehicles. Some of the higher end domestic cars have nice interiors. The Cavalier looks like a bunch of kindergarten students designed the interior. Cheap plastics all around and oddly shaped things elsewhere.

Neon....Turbo.....bad combo, that my opinion. Also look at the Neons history. I'll never own one unless it's giving to me.

Don't get a Cavilair either. They are such horrible cars. My friend has a 94 (some westend guys have seen it). He hasn't had it for a year yet and it's already had 2 engine rebuilds, ya that's quality.

There are some good domestics out there, but I'd recommend you stay away from Cavalier/Sunfires.

Are you looking for used or new??

looking for a used car, my dad says he doesnt want honda because what happened to my uncle could happen to me.

budget is 3500 stretching it would be 4000.

1995 cavaliers look nice.

how about toyota celicas? they look nice!

i could get another volvo... have any of u seen my brothers porshe blue? he painted the volvo that colour looks nice.

i would love a honda, but so many kids at school drive them... need to be different for a change!

tercels are small pieces of crap, i drove one before its light as hell i dont like that i felt like i weighed more than the car.

(i only weigh 115) kekeke

IF you are a PIMP, get a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS or a prev gen Monte Carlo SS and roll on DUBZ... remember that DUBZ cost in excess of $6000 for nice ones, so if you can't get that... you can't be a PIMP. Gotta pay to play...

Stay away from Domestics. Try looking into older Nissan Sentra SE-R or 240s or 300zx.

good options too... except the 240s are ridiculous in price and look funny when stock and the 300ZX is *** unreliable and hella pricey to fix (I know cuz I had one). So the older Sentra SE-R is a great choice, but it's very rare!

Just wondering if your trying to avoid buying a Honda because of a bad experience, what makes you think that a getting a Cavalier would be a better experience.
