it's no way to take on a Matrix... the Matrix XSi is a 180 hp 6 speed I think. The Jazz is just a new entry level for Honda to displace the overgrown Civic... I mean what youthful person would buy the grown up Civic nowadays?? Jazz is gonna be right in the price range of 1st time buyers. IMO it's true, the first car you own is usually the brand you'll stick with, so 1st time car buyers are a very important segment of the market.

Sorry, it's not the Matrix that the Jazz will go against, but rather the Echo H/B.

^^^what he said. I'm pretty sure we are getting the 3 door hatch, just not the 5 door version.

That's too bad cause I was looking at upgrading from my 3 door hatch to a 5 door hatch, and this new 5 door looks amazing.

you only like the Echo better cuz you've grown accustomed to it. I dun care, if I buy a car in the next year or so, it'll prolly be a Jazz. and that's a big IF. the plans will include a K20A swap right off the bat and 17 inch rollers w/ a drop.

I'm all over the Jazz too, I'll be putting my order in once we're allowed to buy them through the associate purchase program, they usually make us wait a bit on new models...

There is no plans for a 3 or 5 door Civic hatch for north america...

They need to bring back the hatcback, 3 door ones. Like they use to have. We need those back, nothing fancy, just 3 doors, doesnt need a powerful engine. I think they would sell a lot.

If only more people bought the EP, then maybe the '05 model wouldn't have been axed, and hatchbacks would continue to flourish here (not that Honda didn't royally f*** up marketing/promoting the EP, because they did!).

Read Honda Tuning, much?

I like the Jazz/Fit cars. I saw plenty of 'em back when I was in Japan 2 1/2 years ago. If I was in need of a new car, and I couldn't get the deal on the EP that I did, I would love to go after the Jazz.

Compact should stay compact, and compact car don't need leg or head rooms. The smaller the better.

Anyway, I am glad I got mine.

Screw the CRX, bring back the civic hatch/stationwagon thing they had back in the late 80's! Sooooooooo sexy with its high look and its sex appeal to all generations! Man, get one of those and slam it down? It can be a civic version of the Scion XB..........

Doesn't do a whole lot for me either, but I like the fact that cars are now coming with 17"'s and even 18"s. Factory lowered and intake is next :P

I think the new Civic hatch will look better in person than the drawings suggest.
Also, it looks like it might be a 2 door hatch, with suicide doors a-la RX-8.

I think turbo's should be coming to cars before anything.
