I thought Canada only gets Lancer. The front looks like Volvo S70/S60, also looks a bit like the Skyline concept, the new Rabbit...

It is losing that Evo look.

there is news in the market about mitsu introducing their famed EVO in canada next year but its all unconfirmed. the price is expected to be close to $45K-$50K...so not cheap.

And it wouldn't be cheap. It's in the same class as the STi. Anyhow, it is coming and if I had the funds, I think I would definitely get one. I like it and you cannot beat it for what it can do. Did any of you see that 5th gear vid where they had it cornering with the lambo? It's a very well built car imo

I don't like it. It's ugly IMO. Personally, I'd rather have a much more refined, but slower car like a 3-Series BMW or RL/TL.

I'm sure it will be an awesome performing car though.

the evo will enter canada for the first time in early 2008...
mentioned on the automart magazine and another source... the purpose is to compete with the mid-size sedan that contains like turbo 300hp

mike..that photo you saw up there is of the concept version. the production version will not be as loud im sure...given simplistic past designs of the evo brand and mitsu cars overall.

Here are the specs i found:

Engine Aluminum Inline-4
Position Front, Transverse
Aspiration Twin Scroll Turbocharger Intercooler
Valvetrain DOHC, 4 Valves per Cyl MIVEC VVT
Fuel feed Electronic Fuel Injection
Displacement 121.9 cu in
Power 213.3 kw / 286 bhp @ 6500 rpm (expected)
Hp per litre 143.21 bhp per litre
Torque 300 ft lbs @ 3500 rpm (expected)
Redline 7000

300 lbs-ft of torque can make anyone happy im sure. given that body is aluminium...it will be one hell of a fast sedan.

you are referring to the FQ400 version which was specially built by ralliart UK. the same car that we recently saw in the video giving a lambo some tough time....posted in the media section(refer to brian's post above). In UK, there were four FQ versions over and above the stock version sold through the regular dealerships.

Evo 8's stock hp was 286 so that remains unchanged. a freakin four banger with so much power.
