"Ok, i got more news on the civic deal.
From what my mom says, the cops have sent out letters to the insurnace companies saying that anyone with a civic that is from 1988-1991 who is under 25 needs to send in pictures of their car from the side and back to show that it is not lowered. They did this because of how popular civics are becoming modded and insurance companies dont want them modded because they think they will be street racing. They said if my car is lowered then they will drop me, and most companies will not take me or some will but i will have to pay triple the amount.... Thats what i heard"

I talked with a couple of my "friends" , and they are all saying basicly the same thing......"why would we single out an age catagory for people and the same thing for cars.....they know nothing about it......they think someone is pulling your chain......as long as the front wheels don't rub when you turn the wheel all the way to the left or right, then your ok."
What insurance do you have? I would call City TV about this......They love to make the insurance company squirm.......Oh, by the way, ask the ins. to see the letter........they have to show you it under the fredom of information act. Get a photo copy of it. If they don't have it or don't want to show you it.....there full of shiet! Can you talk to your dad's laywer about this. They can tell you what they can and can not do. If the ins. does have a letter, not only will it look bad for the police, but you will have something in writting to show a lawer.
Where is this ins. company & police located? ie Peel, Oshawa, Durham.......?
Call the police in your area, and ask to speak to the traffic division......ask politely about this.....if they say "yes we did send out letters" get the officers name and badge # (will help later if he say's he didn't say anything) and ask if the can get you a photo copy of it, so when you go to the station, you can pick it up.

LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME!!! Just in case....

Thomas...because they know "98 EX 4dr" is heavy and slow! Therefore, they wouldn't bother to call you!

did u just get ur car?....you have to take it to get insurance pictures taken ..have you already done this once and they are asking you to bring it back or is it the first time since you bought it?...they ask you to bring it in to make sure the car on the paperwork is actually what you have because people used to scam insurance companis by buying a beater and claiming it as a car in much much better condition then claiming somethign happend to it.... anyways...a friend of mine mashed his modded 91 accord and after getting it repaired the insurance told him he had to raise it back up to stock or else pay even more on top of his increased rates....(6000 year...ouch!!)
