i always thought that the streets were a track.

i was just joking just incase anyone gets mad.more tracks are a must! if its not around the durham/gta region im not that interested tho,most likely will never make it out other tracks if they are to far.

I just got another message about this with important info on the vote!! see below....

THIS IS IT! The vote for approval goes Monday December 7, 2009, 6 p.m. @ Fort Erie Town Hall. This will be the final meeting for approval and we need to have a major presence on this night. The opponents will be there in force and we need to show the voters how passionate we are about this development. Again I Thank You for all your messages, comments and support. Each and every one of you HAVE made a difference. The Facebook group has a prominent place in generating awareness and support for the CMS project and Town Council has noted that. The developers and partners have noticed what you have done as well, and are most appreciative. I will post a link on the "events" section of the CMS Group page about the Vote Meeting. Please show on the 7th and bring all the support you can muster. Thank You!

just wanted to update everyone on this. I went to the meeting last night and sat through 6 hours of listening to people on both sides, in the end the council voted unanimously to approve the speedway. now they go for approval with the region tomorrow. I can't make that meeting so if anyone goes please post an update.

Fort Erie Town Council approved the plan and will amend their town planning documents to permit the operation of a race track in those lands. There is a new race worker site at Canadian Motor Speedway Town Hall hearings in Fort Erie that's just starting tracking progress on CMS.


Tomorrow night the road show goes to Niagara Region Council for the next higher levels of approval. Everyone expects the proposal to pass at the regional council as well. Then it's just a matter of meeting some provincial requirements, and construction begins, potentially next spring if not earlier.

I like the looks of this one and really hopes it all goes through as planned.

Well I wasn't personally at the regional meeting today, but I just received a message. So from my understanding the meeting today was with the Planning Committee, and they have now approved it for a council meeting with Niagara. After that I think there will be some EPA requirements or something they will have to meet
