H-T has a guy who's already doing the swap, plus I forget the company, but they've already performed the feat.

I have a Best Motoring video where they test the fit and car has potential as the chassis is well designed(very rigid). The motor that comes with the car is guttless to say the least but thats what motor swaps and FI are for.

Very nice car. If it's true and it comes to Canada I might even consider getting one. I can't remember where I read this, but I remember reading something about the fuel economy on this car and the fact that it's not as good as people might think.

Its so exciting to see the sub-compact segment grow in Canada. I still think that Honda is kinda late but not too late considering Toyota launched Yaris less than a year ago.
Someone correctly said that the price would be around $12-$15 and CVT=more fuel efficiency. Nisaan is also all set to launch its sub compact this year. It will be called the Versa.
I cant to see all of these new babies at the motor show this month.

The Nissan Versa coming out, which is ugly as sin, kicks the *** of the Fit and the Yaris/Echo
It competes in the same class with an MSRP $14,500, is larger in all dimensions and has more power.
It comes with a 1.8L DOHC vs the Fit and Yaris which both as 1.5L
It will crank out 120 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. Theres a choice three transmissions: a standard six-speed manual, four-speed electronically-controlled automatic with overdrive, or CVT.
Both the Fit and Yaris are pushing around 105 hp
The Yaris still has the best fuel economy around 40 MPG.
Surprisingly the Versa gets around 39 MPG which is much better than the Fit's 35 MPG

I see your point about the Versa, but if the car is "ugly as sin" as you put it, does it matter if it has more power than the Fit?
Besides, I don't want to say this again, but wouldn't you rather have a more reliable Honda or Toyota instead of a Nissan?

Even though the Versa is ugly as sin, I wouldn't call the Fit or the Yaris much to look at either.
So the probability is that I would be buying the car for practical purposes. So would take the Versa. More power and more room, more fuel economy. The Sentra which the Versa is replacing was always getting 9s and 10s on consumer reports and testing so I would expect the same quality from the Versa.
Its a Nissan we're talking about, not a Ford.

I DONT THINK THAT VERSA WILL BE REPLACING THE SENTRA. Its a sub-compact and Sentra will still stay in the compact sedan category.
