New Honda Accord Coupe

I know this is a Civic club, but this is all Honda...

I wanted to know what everybody out there thought of the new BODY style of the new Accord coupe. I think it just plain 'ol sucks!!!

The reason Honda changed it drastically from what I have been reading is because they wanted to market the younger crowd. Well I think they did just the opposite with their round cuves and bubbly look. It used to look so sharp, mean and aggressive. Now it looks like a wannabe old man's car. Just the front alone makes me want to puke with those cheap looking platic pieces centering towards the Honda emblem.

They better fix the problem with revamping the whole thing again in a few years. In my opinion they fucked up huge!!!

The fact that they got rid of the name "prelude" and kept "accord" is beyond me.

Its absolutely fugly.....I had the previous gen coupe....that was nice

It's almost as bad as how Mercedes destoryed the look of the CLK. It used to look so beefy and mean.....now it looks too round and crapy

to Honda

I disagree with you. I think the new Accord coupe looks great, and looks much better than the previous gen coupe. Not sure if this new coupe is smaller than the previous one, but it sure looks smaller now, which was the one thing I didn't really like about the previous gen coupe.

I must say that I really like the look of the Accord Coupe. I think the sedan could use some work though .

imho

the new accord coupe get two from me - i think it looks great - the tail lights and rear quarter panels in particular look a lot better than the last gen.

if i was looking to spend around 30k i think i might go for a v6 accord coupe instead of an rsx now, imho.

i said "around" 30k and if you went through apa you can get it at cost plus $600 - right now you can get $3500 off of a $31,500 RSX type S, so the discount should be similar on an accord coupe.

secondly i, like most other ppl on this board are dyed in the wool Honda fans - so u not only have big ***** saying "...lots of other choices that are better from other manufacturers" but quite frankly i disagree!!!!!!!!!!

Live in your pipe dream world but when you get out of philosophy 101 have a look around the board and you will see all kinds of posts drooling over other car manufacturers products.

And I have yet to see Honda ever give incentives of $3500 off a car when it just rolled off the production line.

I have to admit the pics posted of the accord looks great, but that would be alot of money to put into it. I don't know, maybe it will grow on me, but i would of liek something that would of looked more sporty and aggresive. I will give it a chance....

If anyone is gonna give a Honda testomonial its 90EFHB..

Honda has always been slow to discount/rebate any of its products..

And never ever ever in the first production year...

I can recall no less than 5 Honda's he or his family has owned in the last couple of years...

And all of these cars were driven..

I didn't like the boat feeling in the last gen Accord..

Hopefully this will address those issues...

I like the new Accord...

Just needs some adjustment time...

I thought the 5th gen hatch was kak when it came out..

Now I think it is the best of the last recent Honda offerings...

And here's a trick question...

What would you rather have:

1. New Accord...

2. New A4 Quattro..

Nuff said...

Honda automobiles have always been ahead of their time in terms of styling. For example, the 6th gen Civic is just now starting to appeal to me. I thought they were ugly compared to the 5th gens for ages... and the same goes for the Integra, Prelude, and Accord. The last generation of Prelude didn't appeal to me at all when it was introduced but now I find them to be beautifully designed cars. Even the 7th gen Civic is starting to grow on me after 2 years of production.

The new Accord sedan desperately needs the rear-end redesigned. Those taillights are just UGLY! The coupe, on the other hand, has few traits that I find unappealing.

Oh and 94EG6HB, I think I can attest to quality in Honda products too... there's been 9 between my parents and I through my lifetime (77 Accord hatch, 82 Accord hatch, 84 Accord hatch, 86 Accord sedan, 89 Civic hatch, 90 Civic hatch, 91 Accord sedan, 93 Civic coupe, 95 Civic coupe) (3 owned by me personally, 6 driven by me) plus we have a Honda lawnmower and rototiller. (Not to mention my girlfriend's family has a 91 Accord and a 00 Odyssey )

Can you say Honda family?

You should call Honda and use family pics in advertising...
