ya it is ... im gonna stop complaining as by summer 2010 ill be 22 :P

Since the time of the bill's introduction, a proposed regulatory change
to the Graduated Licensing System that would have placed tighter restrictions
on the number of passengers that teen drivers can carry has been removed.
Many of the measures included in the Road Safety Act, 2009,
(http://webx.newswire.ca/click/?id=0ddf2f5289dbfed) will come into effect by
summer 2010.

Man, you're funny!

All jokes aside, I think it's cool that you come here and educate everyone on this stuff. Based on the replies I've seen you post on this forum, I take it you are either a cop or working for the Police, so the replies you've posted are really good and to the point.
I was thinkin the same thing. haha. He could be a traffic lawyer?

i beg to differ. 20mins ago while i was driving home down Jane, this guy 30+ pulled up to me in a black altima and started pulling away..letting off as if he wanted to race me. [for the record i just kept 5km over lol]
soo many "mature" people speed. infact a lot of younger drivers tend to drive slower since if they get a ticket, they know insurance will "rape" them lol. i often see high class cars flying down the highway at 160km/h+ like 300C/BMW's/Mercedes etc. and i dont think young people can afford cars like that. in my opinion young drivers have been scared enough not to speed [talking from personal experience] because most are under parents name and driving as occasional driver since we cannot afford 300-400$ inssurance a month and parents threaten to cancle your inssurance if you get a speeding ticket haha.
But thats just me.

It's a proven fact. Statistics that of a younger (amateur) driver are more irresponsible.

It only takes a hand-full to screw it up for the rest.

BTW, FiveO is not a cop. If he/she is, you should be respect that he/she voices their opinion. Could save your *** one day.

Nope, not a cop either. For me, neither of them make enough of a living to justify the respective pitfalls of their professions, and neither would leave me with enough free time to pursue my non-work interests.

I do have a bit of background in law though, and as a car and driver fan I keep up with what affects me in my hobbies. I also work get plenty of opportunity to talk with the cops in my summer organizational pursuits.

lol you guys are pulling statistics out of your asses. I'm study actuarial science statistics are my life. So if your trying to prove a point, support it with valid STATISTICS that prove young drivers are more irresponsible. Right now you just using a stereo-type but ill give you an E for effort

I just got my licence, but I don't drink.

What is up with the stupid suspension for speeding? Most or all people go like 5-10KM/H right?

.. I know they are not suppose to...and they don't get suspended by that?

Because driving 10 over is the grace speed that cops will give you

Above 10 or below 10 it's impossible to drive at a perfect speed

Than again driving 10 over is the norm so cops can't pull over everyone

Hell if we all drove 180 the cops couldn't do anything they can't susdpend everyones license

define drinking and driving. Everyones perception of drinking and driving differs. For me, drinking and driving means either drinking in a vehicle while operating it or drinking too much and then operating a vehicle. Some people think even one beer and then driving 3 hours later is still considered drinking and driving. However, i think thats a bit harsh.

No offence, but that is the most disgusting **** I've read in this thread so far. Funny how people get upset when things effect them, and when they don't " Sucks to be them ". That's part of the problem with the world today.

However, I disagree with the age and alcohol admenment aswel. While in college, I would DD. But not to be an outcast, I would cruise around nursing a beer, or possibly a Spiced Rum & Ginger... I would be WAY below the limit, possibly saving lives by DD'ing, and making sure everyone was safe. Now what? A glass of water? A Pop... I hate pop!

If you're G1 or G2, it only makes sence for zero alcohol, you obviously are not experienced enough in the courts eyes. 2-3 years out of your life, at an age you shouldn't be drinking anyway! (16,17,18)

Alcohol and Liquor ARE different, yet when it comes to intoxication, are completely the same. I too raise the argument about mouthwash. I know I was pulled over, with fresh breath, and question if I had been drinking... at 0900h. Moral: 16-21, don't use mouth wash.

For the record, this is MADD canada's fault. While I agree with them that drinking and driving is bad (ya think), as long as there will be alcohol (in any form) there will be drinking & driving.

I do agree with Five0, for now, about Driving being a privilage not a right... so be the systems bitch. Yet, I disagree in part. How far will the government go, more laws, more fines, more taxes... Dictatoryship(sp?) doesn't happen all at once, it builds after time... and if you don't stand up and fight for what you believen, you'll be the governments bitch and enjoy it, like FiveO.

This is so true! I know some of my friends can't even handle a corona (lol). But myself, i can do a real can (500ml) and still be ok. Everyone is different, but you just have to know your limit.
