New car pending...
The wife and I have decided to trade in our 2007 Mini Cooper for a new car. Something a bit more stylish and equally less practical, but a much more performance oriented vehicle. I am still keeping my Si for another year or so and I will probably trade it in next year for something a bit bigger. Maybe a Honda, maybe not.
Can you guess what the new ride is?

Dude gets a new car every year or two...lol
Don't get me wrong, not hating or anything, I just don't get why some people have to get a new car every 1-2 years... You get bored with it that quickly? lol
I can see if you needed a bigger car if you had kids or needed something different for work etc...

The wife gets bored far more quickly then I do. Besides, the Mini has not been exactly the best car we've ever had. It's great on gas and fun to drive, but the reliability and build quality is questionable. The Mini has half as many k's as my Si, but has had many more issues and trips to the shop.
The new car is much sportier then the Mini. No 335, but similar in size and layout.

Fair enough. I guess you lease them too which keeps the cost down. I guess I don't like the fact that you're always making payments and never actually own the car. It's like just renting a car over and over. To each his own.
hmmmm...lexus IS 250/350, or Infinity G35/37?

Too late.
It's faster then my Si and a rocket compared to the Mini. Uncomfortable? Not for me. The interior and options offered are amazing for a car under $30K. Way nicer inside then my Si.
Anyway, getting a 6 speed 2.0T with the GT package. 19's, Brembo brakes, LSD, Infinity 10 speaker stereo, leather, power everything, Bluetooth, HIDs, etc.

New one is financed. Rates are much better these days. I'm done leasing. Leasing is more affordable, but in most cases you are stuck with the car for the duration of the lease. Not so good if you don't like the car and/or it has problems. If the new car sucks, I can trade it or sell it much easier then a leaseed one.
