on the top of your range, you can get a 3 or so year old BMW 325ci coupe....alot of these cars came with the M package and look much better than the ordinary 3 series coupe. my vote is definitely for the bmw.
minis are nice little fun cars but you get tired out of them soon...given their small size and somewhat limited functionality.

What's wrong with Honda's? If you want something more "mature" then a Civic, why not an Accord or TSX?
The BMW and the Mini would be decent, but I would imagine not the cheapest to maintain. I looked into Mini's, but I hated the interior and the lack of space.
A Neon? C'mon! I don't care how fast they are, I'd never buy one.
An S2000 is a nice ride, but not very practical and very small inside if you are 6'+ and 200lbs.
You could get a very nice 07 Si for your price range.

ive definetly seen the 325ci and the 330ci with the m package and they look great. but i think its to nice for the next couple of years, im gonna be drivin alot and having dirty army kit inside it. plus my sloppy friends. i dont really want a 4 door cuz i have a coupe now and its enuff room, the seat goes down when i wanna fit my snowboard in. im a small guy, only 5'6. so the s2000 wont be hittin my head, but then again i need a snowboard to fit. i was leaning towards the mini, my buddies mom has one, i love it, like i said im a small guy so its huge to me, i like the interior, i think its comfy and nice. plus the cooper s will be fun, and i wouldnt mind moddin it abit. iunno, this is why im confused.

yea for like an extra grand i could grab a 350z, i would love the power, and they are nice. but insurance would rape me, its not that practical for me, cause theres limited trunk space.

yea but the mini's rear seat folds down, i dont think the 3 series do. plus im only gonna have the car for 2 years. then im planning on moving out of canada. i hear with like a better pulley, intake, and exhaust you can bump up the ponies on a mini. plus i think the suspension is better then a 3 series for cornerin. i wouldnt mind hittin the track a couple times.

apples and oranges really, front and rear. the mini could be a real prob on a long snow board trip, def if you get a flat they don't come with a spare just a can of tire stop leak stuff. not the end of the world but it would really suck imo. the bimmer would be better for the long haul trip, and proly better resale if you get rid of it in two years.

yea, im thinking the bmw def would be more on resale. but the long hauls are like 5 hrs tops. iunno i love the tsx but i dont want a 4door, while im single and no kids i wanna use the coupe. its still a toss up between the mini and 3 series coupe. thanks for all the help guys. youve been great.
