New Car

When I first posted here it was in November of 2009 when I just bought my new car. But I had to get a full refund on it because someone swapped in a engine that wasn't compatible with the car resulting in it not passing the emissions test. So I picked something up this past Sunday and I'm very happy of it.

Tell me what you think :)

Wow I like the seat pattern!

Good to hear you fought for yourself. Many people just take the bitch route.

Welcome to the club !!

Nice car

Just out of curiosity , what do you mean the engine was not compatible with the car??? ... what kind of engine was it?

Please dont tell me it was something like a type r , or k swap :pout:

Anyways , new car looks great man !

Well I took it to Honda and they said they'll do a diagnostic. When they called me back they said it was a 2005 engine and all the wire harnesses were changed and it was almost impossible for it to work.

I was putting in a quater tank of gas everyday to go to school which is only 30 minutes away. It was really putting a hurting on my pocket, so enough was enough and got it refunded at the place I bought it from.

Car looks good.

Im sure if the old car was converted to obd1 and all the wiring mess ups were fixed it would pass etest and be good on gas. Honda Mechanics do not really deal nor know anything about swaps. Hell when i told my neighborhood honda parts manager i need parts for a b20 in eg his jaw dropped. Then asked to look for parts under 99-00sir and that completely threw him off lol. Either way, congrats on your purchase.

^^^

I agree with scrid there

Thats one of the main reasons i dont take the car to the dealer... Most of their mechanics are clueless about swaps , turbos , and any major mod...

I remember asking one of their mechanics about putting a prelude engine in my civic and he was like that can not be done . I also ask about a turbo and he was more clueless than me ( and i m consider a noob when it comes to turbo)

and they are also pretty expensive
