hope ya got the plate # of the truck..
you could file a claim thru yer insurance/the cops cuz it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the road worthiness of his truck/trailer

ergo..he is at fault and responsible for any damages incurred due to his negligence

Wow, exact same thing happened to me the other day on the 417

A truck carrying dirt or some ****, had a piece of rock smack on my windshield..my gf just about jumped through the sunroof she got so freaked...

We ran down the track and started giving him **** and the finger through the sunroof..then told him to pull over..
I was polite to him cause i was so angry, and he was being nice and offered to give me number of his shop and insuranec..

No damage so i declined

scary **** though

Sorry to hear about your hood.

Hope you got the plates on that guy or something.

Can't really follow anyone (close, or normal) on the highways, damn stone chips alone are a big PITA, of course ice is that much worse.
