WOW, and ONLY 230K kms LOL

IMO, he'll be lucky to get $8K for the 86 car... but I'd buy a swapped mk2 over a original Mk3 cuz the Mk3s are known for electrical fires. I know two mk3 VR6 that burned to the ground in electrical fires. But you do whatever you want... the VR6 is a NICE torquey motor, it pulls hard in every gear. I've driven a modded one, chip, intake, exhaust, underdrive pulleys, real nice ride... went over 260kms/hr in it. Very fast ride and it was a 1999 Mk3 VR6.

good luck with your insurance rates comparing a 90 civic and a 92 GTI. Civic is cheaper, faster and much nicer

Juss bustin ur ***** MBSi I like old Golfs but buying one in Canada is crazy... you'll get a rust bucket instead of a car. If you got $8K, just buy a 96-98 hatch and shut up.

a 96-98 civic would be a good choice, but im a fourth gen freak so I would rather take the 4th gen over the 6th gen. But I wouldn't buy that anyway, I like building my car from scratch, I don't like driving around somebody elses project but it adds up at the end, im at around 8-9k and it's an 89
BTW: I hate VW and the only one I kind of like is the 97-98 model GTI VR6, other than that car I would never drive a VW.
