thanx JP i will be posting some pics as soon as i finish up a couple things...

Hey , i juss took off my wing and put on the factory one which is alot lighter....i also bought an air intake today which is called iceman....it's different than most i've seen, it's really fat n wide...neone knoe if it's better than the regular ones like Aem that are the same widh through out....neway , i think it's given me 2 or three horsepower, not like i can tell ..lol...and it's really loud....i'm looking to drop my car, the proper way, it's the last thing i need to do...ne suggestions on what to buy and how much i should be spending??? i have 17 inch rims an di also have side skirts, front and rear lips so how much should i drop it without ne rubbing or bottoming out?? basically i juss wanna get rid of the gap between my fenders and tires...which looks real ugly..oh yeah one more thing, will spacers cause ne rubbing?? i want the wider look....tires that stick out a bit from the fenders look reaaal nice...

Tuning is to fine tune your car so it is operating in a harmonious state to reach its maximum potential with current specification.

what's ur current engine? if it's a stock sohc si, there is no point. gains are minimal if any.
tuning is only needed when you've changed the engine specs/built one to ur specs. cams, headwork, a/f mods etc; or if u've force induced that ****.

it goes like this.
standalone ecu- $1000 give or take
tuning- $200-$400 depending on the seat time.

u can also just get a vtec controller/safc and play around with it yourself.

Factory engine is pretty much tuned to a balance between fuel economy and performance. You can do what mechatune said, to get a standalone ECU and tune the engine, to give more fuel and whatnot, but that's the extend of it, I would think - before the engine runs too rich.

If you just slap on an intake, perhaps there is no need to tune it. But that's to say you can't. I am going to dyno my engine in the Spring and if the person suggests me to tune it, and if funding allows, maybe. But it is a stock engine with bolt-ons, which I doubt the need to.

oh i c... well i have a zc D16 sohc motor...not sure what it's from since i got it with the car....if there are no decent increases in acceleratio or horsepower i thin k i'll juss leave it the way it is...no sense in changing fuel consumption to spend more on gas...i think im juss gonna save up for a type r engine or somthing with alot more power..then doing all these little things for a few horsepower...thanx for the tips.....still looking to hear from someone about lowering and what's involved...??any help would be greatly appreciated....

Minor bolt ons don't make that much of a difference ...

You got to pay to play

save your money
