Need a mechanic

just take it to a crappy tire and ask them to do a safety, it costs 85$.
they will butcher you, and make a **** long list of things that are wrong with it.
you take that list back to the guy who is selling it and bargain with it...
just tell him the ride is falling apart, and you have a document that says so.... lolz...
plus there is a good chance they will catch any major problem with it anyways.
i got $1100 of my ride when i was buying it. (it was a private sale.)
just my 2 cents in...

The buyer agreed that he'll fix out-of-his-pocket whatever is wrong with the vehicle if it doesn't pass inspection.

what i meant was it doesn't mean that all those things are wrong, or need fixing, its just a leverage to get a deal out of the guy. Crappy tire is known for butchering people when it comes to safety.

I'd rather spend the money on a low k all original car then one that had a different motor from who knows where in it and a bunch of aftermarket parts on it.
I'd take it to Honda dealer and have it inspected before a Canadian Tire, but any garage can do an inspection, but I would try Honda first. iGarage or Defcon might be able to help too.
$6000 is a little high I think, even for a loaded Si. I'd offer $4000 and go up to $5000.
