need help with VSS

Hey guyz...

I have a quick question.

My engine light came on today and I checked the code and it turns out to be #17
which means "VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor"

now obviously I havent tampered with the VSS since I dont even know where it is. Ive asked a few times where it is cuz everytime it rained my speedometer would just stop working so Id have to limit my self according to the rpms n gears.

I dont really need anyone to tell me where it is cuz thats like talking to a wall.

I was wondering if someone has a few minutes in the evening to just help me find it, clean it, fill it with greaser or whatever ur supposed to fill it with and lock it tight again.

any takers? I am free after 1 tomorrow (friday 2nd june).

i dont think you know what a vss sensor is.

you will need to replace it.
or add more tranny fluid.

i wouldn't mind checking to see if the sensor is actually faulty if you want to come to oakville tomorrow night.

It'll take 2 seconds.

Someone said something about filling it with some kind of electrical grease.

well herez the thing, Im sure it works, cuz I can still see my speedometer working.

I had a problem b4 when it would just randomly stop working for a minute or too and then go back to working normally all of a sudden. This usually happened when the weather was wet may I add.

So Im guessing its not faulty, it just needs to be cleaned up and tightened again.
