Need Help..Question..HB 94 civic

hey guys

i have a 94 civic HB and my cluster lights once in awhile would shut off and then come back on...now its complete gone. even the lights of my climate controls are off - my deck is on tho.

any ideas what it could be?

have you checked all your fuses?

Midori 31-Oct-2007 03:06 PM

well climate control harness and dash harness are separate so I think you should just replace the bulbs as the sources are not connected.

Is this on the teg dash ?

SiR]-[onda 01-Nov-2007 12:08 PM

yes its a teg dash but before i did the swap it also happened on my HB dash??

since it went of and back on i thought it couldnt be the fuse as if the fuse is shot then its shot rite??

you might have to check your wiring that runs to the dash. sounds like there might be a break somewhere that could cause a short. could also be as simple as one of the pins in the cluster plug being loose...good luck dood!

I had this problem in my Eg8. Go to a junk yard and steal the dimmer switch and replace it.

^^^ or pull out the dimmer and bypass the switch, just loop the in and out, so the lights stay on brightest all the time, which is what I imagine most people keep their's on anyway.

I replaceed my dimmer switch this way and mines fine now, but I know this has just been a bandaid solution for most people. Bypassing the switch is likely the better idea, unless like me you frive in the middle of nowhere alot and turn your dimmer down so you can see better.
